Jay T. Schlum was Mayor of Fountain Hills from 2008-2012 and previously served as a Fountain Hills Councilman 2004-2008. He has been a licensed Realtor® since 1992. Jay is one of the most respected community leaders. In addition to our Town he has served the following organizations:
Originally from West Bloomfield, Michigan Jay’s parents John & Dawn Schlum moved the family to Fountain Hills in 1977. The Schlum’s were early day Real Estate pioneers and Jay followed in his parents footsteps.
In college at Northern Arizona University Jay met Denise and in 1987 they were married at the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church. They have two adult children. Daughter Carly served the Country for 6 years in the United States Air Force and now is a 3rd generation Realtor working on the team. She is married to Ivan and has two girls. Son Tim is post-graduate student at Phoenix Seminary and works as a Youth Pastor. He is married and they have two sons.
Carly Schlum has lived in Fountain Hills since she was three years old, and has enjoyed being able to see how this lovely town has grown.
Having grown up here gives her wonderful knowledge to share with each and everyone of her clients. She is married to Ivan and blessed with 2 children. Carly served in the United States Air Force for six years, which taught her the best core values to live by; integrity first, service before self and excellence in all we do. This will translate into each relationship that she will be blessed to be a part of.
